In the late 1990's, John "JR" Palmer started the well-known radio show, The Top 35 New Country Countdown. in Toronto, Ontario.  Heard on select stations in Canada, the US and Denmark, the show was highly-regarded, well-produced, and enjoyed in markets over 10 million strong.

With the advent of basement-made podcasts, coupled with a throat injury, the Top 35 New Country Countdown went into hiatus - although the voice of John Palmer has continued to be heard in commercials and Interactive Voice-Messaging Systems throughout Canada, the US, and the Caribbean.

He has also been an extra on movies featuring names such as Leslie Neilson, Paul Gross, Chelsea Hobbes and others.
